In their lineup, Cupra introduces their second bespoke model, the Cupra Born (Hatchback), alongside the Cupra Formentor (Coupe SUV). The Born is often described as the “sporty one” and “like an ID.3 but better.” While it is based on the ID.3 and shares similar specifications, design, and features, Cupra has managed to differentiate themselves. They offer a more modern design with an upmarket look and feel. Additionally, the Born provides a greater range and sportier suspensions, catering to those seeking a sporty driving experience.

Pros
- Practical space for 4, with isofix points in the rear.
- A Sportier design than its cousin VW Id.3, as well as sportier models within the range available.
- Huge range, the regenerative braking helps a lot, but the Cupra range offer models now with 300+, that’s more than any small ev.
Cons
- With a centralised cockpit/infotainments system all in one – can be frustrating or some.
- No 4wd option available yet.
- Lower driving position
Comparable models to consider:
- Volkswagen ID.3
- Kia EV6
- Tesla Model 3
Cupra has done well with this one, given the lack of Small EV’s on the market, and we’re excited to see their expansion in years to come.
