PCA partnership enters its 'first innings'

Marking the start of a 24-month partnership, on March 1st Pike + Bambridge will be attending Professional Cricketers’ Association keynote event, ‘Rookie Camp’, in Birmingham.  Rookie Camp educates players on transitioning into the professional game and highlights the support and guidance the PCA offers cricketers throughout and after their professional career.

Attending Rookie Camp will be Head of Personal Leasing and Sport Division at Pike + Bambridge, Bethany Weir, and Logistics Manager Simon Smith, the latter a former star of Scotland’s national cricketing team.  Simon joined the Pike + Bambridge team in 2020 following a high-profile career as a player for the Scottish team, and latterly within a key role in their coaching team as High-Performance Manager.

Since 2013, we have supported sportsmen and women from across the UK in acquiring their next vehicle.  Our dedicated sports division understands the pressures and lifestyle needs of those working professionally within this industry.

Commenting on the new partnership, our CEO Piers Bambridge said, “Over several years we have worked with some of the UK’s most prestigious sports stars, making the process of acquiring their next vehicle simpler, faster and much more enjoyable.  This new partnership is testament to our commitment to developing this important area of our business and we look forward to working with the Professional Cricketers’ Association as our plans develop.  It is critical that young players are better supported with more professional, independent advice as they take their first steps in their professional careers, and our team are dedicated to that as a core principle of our offering.”

Simon Smith, former player with Cricket Scotland said “I’m delighted to be attending Rookie Camp with Beth and get to meet the next generation of cricketing talent.  It’s an exciting time for cricket and we’re here to support players at every stage in their career as their lifestyle demands change and adapt.”

We're looking forward to a great day meeting the next generation of cricketing talent!
