Which cars have 3 ISOFIX points?

A more common question than we once thought, is which cars typically offer you 3 ISOFIX points as standard? Our Membership team direct and support professional clients nationwide on the often daunting process of acquiring a new car. When you talk to us you don't need to worry about feeling silly asking a question, often a fear when talking to a sales person in a show room. You also don't need to scroll the internet for information that might not actually answer your question - we're here to answer every query you may have and can provide you with everything you need to know about having 3 ISOFIX points in your car, as well as the best options for you in your new car search!

What is an ISOFIX Mount?

Now a mandatory feature in all new cars, most cars have 2 located in the back outer rear seats. The ISOFIX mount, is a square metal structure, built in to the cars seat, in which an ISOFIX-compatible child seat will lock in to, and become a “permanent” seat for your young one.

As mentioned, most cars do offer just two Isofix points as standard, and as cars develop into new styles and sizes, it’s harder than even to understand which models actually will offer you 3 ISOFIX points. Today we devolge what models currently offer you 3 secured points, may it be an additional point in the passenger seat, or a third one in the back row or even in a 3rd seating row.

Skoda

Offered in almost every model with 3 ISOFIX points, or the ability to have 3 ISOFIX points, is Skoda. The most practical of them all, we would highly recommend taking a further look at the likes of the Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq and the new fully-electric Enyaq for a competitive option and practical seating.

Peugeot

Another practical option for young families is the Peugeot range, with the 3008 model offering x1 passenger seat ISOFIX point and x2 in the rear outer seats, then the 5008, providing one of the better options for comfortably fitting x3 points in the 2nd seat row.

Seat

A strong competitor to the Skoda range is Seat, offering the Tarraco - their 7-seater model, which comes with x3 ISOFIX points as standard; with 1 in the front, and 2 in the back.

Volkswagen

The ID.4, the world car of the year – see more here – has x3 points too with one in the front, 2 in the back.  Volkswagen have clearly seen a gap in the market, as no other brand with EV currently has this ability to offer x3 ISOFIX.

Audi

The biggest and the best of them all, Audi. The Q7 offers six ISOFIX mounts, and although at the upper end of the budget, it’s still one worth considering.

Mercedes-Benz

A quite affordable premium car option is the GLB, and it offers 4 of x7 seats in ISOFIX.

Summary

In summary, when it comes to safety and practicality for you and your young family we would always recommend speaking to one our Account Managers to determine whether one of these models is better for you than another.
