At P+B, we believe it’s our service that makes the biggest difference. While we’re proud to offer great cars, what matters most to us are the people who drive them.
That means if you’re going to drive our cars, it’s important you learn who drives us. That’s why we’re back with another edition of our ‘Meet the Team’ series!
Next in this series of articles is Lana, our new Head of Salary Sacrifice. Lana brings a wealth of experience in building relationships and business management to P+B, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.
Without further ado, let’s find out more about Lana and why she’s the perfect fit for P+B…and for you.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I grew up just outside San Antonio, Texas, so quite far away from here, but family means a lot to me. I’m now outnumbered with two boys (aged 3 and 7), who keep me busy outside of work. My youngest brother in Texas is about to have his first child (another boy!) – which means I get to be “Auntie Lana” very soon!
As much as I love Texas, I’ve become used to being far from home. I went on to study in Virginia and then took a leap and moved to the Czech Republic to teach at the University of Economics in Prague before moving to the UK. That experience shaped me in so many ways, and adapting to a completely new culture has been exciting.
Now I’m settled in East Lothian, and my next chapter takes place here at P+B.
Tell us about your professional experience
My first traditional sales job involved selling books door-to-door back home in the States. What started as a summer internship turned into six years of managing and mentoring international teams to do the same, across 2 continents. It sounds intense, and it was, but it taught me so much about people and persistence. Many of those lessons still guide me today.
My most recent role before joining the team at Pike+Bambridge was Director of Income and Communications at a charity called Leuchie, which provides respite breaks for people living with neurological conditions. I led a brilliant team of fundraisers and business development professionals to raise around £3 million a year to deliver its services. It was high pressure, but I loved it.
There’s something so powerful about asking people to support a mission rather than simply a product, with goodwill as the driver. When people rally behind something they care about, the results can be amazing. I’ve seen supporters shave their heads, jump off bridges and out of planes, run marathons, share their incredible talents and do all kinds of wild and wonderful things just to help others.
Although the day to day might not be quite as varied and exciting as some days at Leuchie, working with a sense of purpose will remain a strong driver for me at Pike+Bambridge – to change the way people buy cars by supporting companies and their teams to make the sustainable move to electric.

“Customer service is just as important to me as selling. I’m here to support and guide people through the switch to electric and to understand how an EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme can help them make significant savings on their next car.“
Why did you want to work at P+B?
I’ve been part of P+B since the beginning – not always in a formal capacity, but always in conversation and spirit, especially with Piers. It’s been exciting to watch the company grow. For a long time, it just wasn’t the right moment for me to jump in fully. I was still growing in my own career and raising our young family. But now feels right. I’ve built up the experience, relationships, and confidence to bring something meaningful to the team and to our clients.
Although moving into the private sector from a charity might seem like a big shift, to me it’s a very natural next step. There are many shared values between the two, such as working with honesty and integrity to do the right thing and always putting the client/donor first.
Why should people buy a car from you?
I think anyone that knows me would know that I’m the kind of person who’ll bend over backwards to make sure people are happy. I’m loyal, people-focused and love finding ways to meet people’s needs in ways that feel personal and thoughtful.

Tell us something people might not know about you?
Something people might not know about me? I studied Japanese and spent a summer in Japan. I’ve always been drawn to experiences that challenge me and broaden my view of the world. That curiosity is something I bring to my work every day.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I love the feeling of building something and working with a team towards a collective goal. I’m driven by progress, by achievement and by the feeling that I’ve helped someone or made something better by the end of the day. Of course, my boys and my family play a big role in keeping me grounded and motivated too.
It’s great to have you on board, Lana. If you’re thinking about enrolling an EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme with P+B, you might be hearing from Lana very soon!
