P+B celebrate diversity in the automotive industry with 50/50 gender split

Recognised as a celebration of the historic, cultural, and political achievements of women, on March 8th the world celebrates International Women’s Day. This year the theme is Break The Bias, and it’s an opportunity to reflect, acknowledge and make change.

As a historically male-dominated industry, the automotive sector has made proactive steps over the last few years to support and motivate women to consider the sector as a career of choice.  However, progress has been slow, and more needs to be done to achieve a greater gender balance within leadership positions.  According to a 2020 Deloitte study, only 13% of those working within the automotive industry are female, with 90% of those who participated in the research stating that women are underrepresented in leadership roles.

At Pike + Bambridge we're delighted that we have a 50/50 gender split across our team, and this International Women’s Day, we shine a light on our female leaders; their achievements, and how they’re breaking the bias within the automotive industry.
